Overview
Atmo Light is a product that allows the effective creation of highly efficient multi-layered thin client applications. New functionalities are delivered accordingly to current business needs, translating into quick and effective customization of functional modules. The modules are tailored to support specific IT processes (in accordance with ITIL) as well as other workflow-based processes.
Problem
Atmo Light is a response to problems its predecessor - Atmosfera, released in 2004, started to face. Maintenance and the old platform became problematic, and with the growth of new technologies and markets, support of outdated tools became less profitable or future-oriented.
Solution
Gather as much feedback from users of the old platform, keep what was good in the old product, and focus on new possibilities and ways to provide better products to users. The company already had in mind a multi-layered client-server architecture, that would allow a better service of needs of clients and their users.
Voice of Users
I gathered the data from client feedback, known issues, and surveys and took those through a card-sorting exercise. Based on common themes, I created a user persona that supported further decision making.
Alex is an experienced IT Administrator who is well-versed in ITIL and workflow-based processes. They face challenges related to complex approval workflows and tracking process status. The current tools are seen as somewhat efficient but have limitations in terms of configuration and interface complexity. Integration with other systems and data consistency management are pain points for Alex. Customization and adaptability are critical to align the tools with specific IT processes. Collaboration and communication features play a significant role in their work.

My process began with some of my initial ideas, wireframes, and breadboarding.
After that goes through mockups, flows, and high-fidelity designs and prototypes.
